Kay Cronin + Gig Alert + Album update

Burn This Life are pleased to announce that Kay Cronin has been recruited as our in house booking agent. Kay will be helping out by booking Burn This Life gigs for a while and helping run the merch stand at our shows. Kay has been a long time fan of Burn This Life's music, and it has to be said is our number one fan. If you wish to book Burn This Life for a show please contact Kay at gigs@burnthislife.com. Kay also has her own myspace page which can be found at www.myspace.com/kaycronin

Our next show sees us back at The Standard in Walthamstow playing with The Executives and two other bands. This venue is soon to be demolished to make way for the coming Olympic Village so please come along before you miss the opportunity to see bands at the fantastic venue! We hope it's gonna be a great show as usual as the London crowd are great. Also we will be showcasing a lot of new material on the night. Burn This Life are heavier, Louder and Faster than ever before and you'll be singing the choons for weeks. Don't miss the show it's gonna be a great night.

The new album is shaping up. Well over half the material is now ready, just a few more tracks to go before we hit the studio again. We are still estimating a April/May 07 release and this one is gonna fucking rock! Everything is heavier and phater sounding. Rit is on top form and Tom's new Bass lines are adding a breath of Fresh air to the proceedings. Scotty is chucking in more double bass work on the drums and Wes and G's riffing and soloing is on fire. Building it up? Wait and hear......it's gonna rock.

So finally, we wish Kay all the best of luck, and we hope to see you all moshing your fucking asses off at the Standard in August on the 31st.

Keep it Live, Keep it Heavy and keep on moshing!!!!!!!

March 2006

News, Reviews and Equipment Blues!!!!!!

Firstly sorry for the lack of activity on the website recently. This has been due to a number of reasons, the main one being G. moving house and having to transfer Web addresses over to a new service provider. Not all bad, as we can now have more than one person editing the web page!

New for 2006. Firstly there have been (yet again) a number of equipment changes within the band. Two big changes are Wes and G. transferring from their trusty V-amps back to Valve amps. It wasn't that we didn't like the V-amps, more that Wes was not happy with the programming of them, nor the tone and when his blew up due to a power surge and lost all the settings it was a good excuse for a change. Shortly after G.'s V-amp decided to play silly buggers so he switched too. So a Nice new Hughes and Kettner Trilogy Head for Wes, and a Deizel VH4 for G. to complement his Black Machine Guitar ( Thanks Doug! ). Check out the equipment page shortly for some new pics and more " Geeky" details for the Techy's out there.

We have done a Number of gigs towards the end of 2005 and start of 2006, and guess what they have been in Ipswich ( home town for some of the band ! ). We have never really played a lot locally other than a couple of regular venues and the response we have had so far has been fantastic! So many thanks to all the bands we have played with other the last few months and big big thanks as always to the people who have come along to support us and see the shows. Please keep checking the webpage and Overplay.co.uk for future gig listings, we always need your support.

In between the shows , Burn This Life are now working on material for the new album which we hope to get released ( please sign us ! ) at the start of 2007. The new songs are shaping up to not only be some of the most commercial material we have written, but also some of the heaviest we have ever done. Please keep checking Overplay.co.uk for new song postings if you want a preview. As soon as we have some studio mixed takes we will post them right away for you to have a listen. Jaded, Hymn and Don't Take This Lying Down are the first three to be completed. Jaded has so far gone down very well at our shows, and we hope to be playing Hymn and Don't Take This Lying Down at the Steamboat, Ipswich on the 24th March, preferably with no mistakes!!!!!!!!!!

So that's all for now. Again thanks for all your support, if you haven't bought a copy of our first album Impact, get one quick before they run out! Stocks are running low. And just a quick mention, we are currently shooting our first Video which went into production Nov last year, it should be finished by the end of March and on your TV screens shortly ( Scuzz, Kerrang, MTV etc ) so keep watching this space for more details and a special feature on the shoot.

Keep Moshing............................
